Current happening at STONEHILL

Phuket Soccer 7s

Last week a contingent of 39 students and 6 teachers travelled to the British International School, Phuket, Thailand for the annual Soccer 7s tournament. This is a tournament with over 1500 competitors from 41 different international schools. Stonehill was the only school representing India. The students played their hearts out and represented our school brilliantly. We had some near-misses with the U13 Boys exiting the competition at the knockout stages on penalties and the U11 Boys narrowly missing a final with a 1-0 defeat that could easily have gone their way. Students returned to Bangalore as better footballers, with new friendships and some great memories. Many thanks to the coaches Mr. Josh, Ms. Zoe, Mr. John and Ms. Vandana and to the chaperones Ms. Katie and Mr Andrew. A special thanks to Ms. Vandana for organising this trip.
