IBDP Journey - Hear from our students

Guillaume, Class of 2022

I joined Stonehill in Grade 10 and from the very beginning I felt comfortable with the challenging IB programme.  The IB Diploma Programme is fantastic in its guidance and preparation for the future. Academically and non-academically it taught me time management which I hope to use in college and in my daily life.

Initially, I wanted to be an Aeronautical Engineer as I found working with aerodynamics relevant to everyday life. My horizons expanded at Stonehill and I found a greater interest in Psychology. This led me to change a vast majority of my classes to better suit my aspirations of pursuing Psychology in college.

The highlight of being at Stonehill was organising the MUN conference as a representative of the school. I cannot imagine there to be a greater environment and greater group of people than the one I had at Stonehill. They will be with me forever.

Events at Stonehill

PYP Exhibition (PYPx)

P8 learners recently showcased their work at the PYP Exhibition (PYPx), sharing their inquiries and learning journeys with the school community. Over the past several weeks, they explored personal interests and meaningful questions through the design thinking process. Their projects highlighted the purposeful use of technology to support and enhance learning, while addressing topics that matter to them and the world around them. The exhibition was visited by 147 students and 15 teachers from Trio World Academy, Neev Academy and The International School Bangalore.

D2 Art Exhibition

Seven of our D2 students showcased their remarkable artworks at the D2 Art Exhibition, a culmination of their inquiry and learning over the past year and a half. Their pieces explored powerful themes ranging from personal reflections to migration, human relationships, and the connection between the outer world and the inner psyche. Through thoughtful use of colour, texture, symbolism, and varied techniques, the exhibition reflected their depth of thinking and creativity. The exhibition was also visited by Jitu Virwani, our Founder, along with members of the Governing Council and the Head of School, who interacted with the students and appreciated their inspiring work.

PTA Starry Nights

Under the evening sky, our school community came together on the lawns to enjoy a special screening of Zootopia. With popcorn in hand and laughter all around, the evening felt just like a cozy outdoor cinema. PTA Starry Nights turned a simple movie night into a warm and memorable gathering for students, parents, and teachers alike.
