The second annual Learning Hub Event was hosted at Stonehill on 2nd March, 2019. The Learning Hub provided Stonehill teachers with the opportunity to organise and lead the learning for over 200 participants from schools in Bangalore and across the country, including teachers from Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. The Learning Hub is an opportunity for IB educators to come together to learn more about contemporary pedagogical practices. This year’s Learning Hub had our teachers leading a range of workshops with a focus on technology integration, differentiation, inquiry, student agency, gender inequality, transdisciplinarity and the IB PYP enhancements. It was also the inaugural event for the Indian SENIA (Special Education Network In Asia) chapter, SENIN, an initiative set up by our Learning Support Department and an opportunity for Learning Support Coordinators from across India to collaborate. The Learning Hub served as a good example of what happens when IB educators come together to share ideas with a spirit of generosity, curiosity and open-mindedness. I would like to thank the organising team for putting in endless hours of work to ensure that this event was a huge success!
