Last week, members of the Governing Council (GC), Educational Leadership Team (ELT) and the IB Programme Coordinators spent the day off-campus for the annual Governing Council Retreat. The day focussed on reviewing the detailed Accreditation and Evaluation Self-Study Reports for The Council of International Schools (CIS), the New England Association of School and Colleges (NEASC) and the International Baccalaureate. This provided us with an opportunity to review the progress we have made and discuss the areas for future development that have been identified by our school stakeholders. MYP eAssessment data and IB Diploma results were also analysed and reviewed.

During the retreat, we also spent time sharing thoughts on teacher retention and reviewed the school’s Strategic Plan. The Governing Council Retreat provided an opportunity for positive, productive discussions that will support our school’s future growth, development and improvement.
