In March, Governors and members of the school’s leadership team spent a day off-campus at Embassy Boulevard to review the school’s Strategic Plan. The progress that we have made in the following areas was discussed:

  • Teaching and Learning
  • Human Resources
  • Infrastructure, Growth and Development
  • Identity
  • Financial Sustainability
  • Governance

In addition to reviewing the school’s overarching Strategic Plan, we also spent time reviewing and evaluating the CIS and IB Action Plans that have have been developed in response to the recommendations and advice we received in the evaluation reports, following our five year synchronised evaluation visit in October 2018. Brian Brumsickle, the new Head of School, starting in August 2019, was also at the retreat. The retreat provided Brian with the opportunity to get a good understanding of our school’s progress and development, enabling a seamless transition into the start of the new academic year. The relationship between school leadership and governance is an important one. At Stonehill, we are fortunate to have a very supportive and knowledgeable group of Governors who volunteer their time to provide guidance, advice and support to ensure that our school continues to offer an outstanding IB education for the internationally-minded community of Bangalore and beyond.
