The Stonehill PTA Christmas Bazar rang in the festive cheer, featuring an array of Stalls and carol singing performance by students.

Thapar Academy Investment Panel and Trade Fair 2025

Stonehill hosted a week-long mentoring programme for Secondary students to hone their entrepreneurial skills. Representatives from the Thapar Academy mentored students on business models, at the end of which, the students showcased their entrepreneurial spirit, pitching business ideas to the delegates including Namita Thapar at the Investor Panel and Trade Fair, held on campus.

TigerFest - a day full of events, entertainment and competitions organised by students

TigerFest is a student-led initiative, brought together the best of sports, arts, and intellect! Held at Stonehill International School, TigerFest is where our school spirit roars to life. From adrenaline filled competitions to inspiring performances, it was a day packed with energy, creativity and community. Whether to compete, perform, or just cheer out, students took part enthusiastically in TigerFest, a day full of fun, friendship, and an unforgettable experience.

Stonehill International School Model United Nations

Our Stonehill students organised the first ever Stonehill International School Model United Nations - SISMUN, in which 70 external students , 6 schools and over a total of 110 students took part. Students were split into different committees and they engaged in interesting debates.

Enthusiastic turnout at Stonehill Founder’s Day Run 2025

The Stonehill Founder’s Day Run 2025, organised by Raadiant Sports and hosted by Stonehill International School, Bangalore, saw an impressive surge in participation, with over 1600 runners navigating the scenic trails of the Tarahunise village in North Bangalore on Sunday, September 7th. 

Held annually to celebrate the founding of Stonehill International School, the event honours the vision of Mr. Jitu Virwani, Chairman & Managing Director of the Embassy Group, who established the School in September 2008.

This year’s run featured several race formats: the Half Marathon, 10K, 4 x 5K Corporate Relay (men, women, and mixed), along with competitive and fun 5K categories. Teams from companies such as Cargill Business Services India, Samsung R&D Centre, Deutsche Bank and Visa took part, adding energy and enthusiasm to the day.

Fun-filled Day at the PTA Back-to-School Barbeque

The annual PTA Back-to-School Barbeque was held to welcome new families into our Stonehill community. Parents, teachers and students got a chance to enjoy plenty of delicious food and music. Thank you, PTA for a fun-filled day!

Independence Day celebrations

We celebrated the Indian Independence Day with our vibrant community in traditional attire. Lively performances of Dollu Kunitha, a folk dance from Karnataka, was organised, cupcakes were distributed and sessions of draping saris and dhotis were organised to mark the occasion. A ceremonial flag hoisting was held on campus.
 

New High School Block inaugurated


Marking a significant step forward in Stonehill's commitment to providing state-of-the-art learning spaces for our students, a New High School Block was inaugurated with a traditional Puja ceremony. Our Founder, Mr. Jitu Virwani, Chairman and MD of Embassy Group, graced the occasion. Members of the Governing Council, Education Leadership team including Mr. Joe Lumsden, Head of School, Ms. Manpreet Kaur, Secondary Principal and Mr. Peter Spratling, Primary Principal and students and teachers were in attendance at the graceful ceremony.

Orientation for new families joining Stonehill for the Academic Year 2025-'26

Stonehill organised a well thought-out Orientation day for the new families joining the school for the Academic Year 2025-'26. The Head of School, Mr. Joe Lumsden, addressed new parents and students, welcoming them into the Stonehill family with enthusiasm and positivity, while our PTA President and members outlined on the events they organise and transition support that PTA offers. The Principals of Primary and Secondary School, Mr. Peter Spratling and Ms. Manpreet Kaur, addressed the families as respective cohorts. Families opting for our boarding programme were taken through an exclusive Boarding Orientation.
 

Stonehill International School Celebrates the Achievements of the Class of 2025 at a heartfelt Graduation Ceremony

Stonehill International School, Bangalore, hosted an unforgettable graduation ceremony on 24th May at the Hilton Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park, honouring the remarkable accomplishments of its Class of 2025. The evening was a celebration of resilience, ambition, and community, as students, faculty, and families gathered to mark this pivotal milestone.

This cohort of graduates has much to be proud of. With a 100 % university placement rate, the Class of 2025 has earned admission to some of the world’s leading institutions, receiving offers from universities across 18 countries. Their chosen disciplines span – Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science, biomedical science, Food and nutrition, Anthropology, Design, Economics, Finance, Psychology and more.

Impressively, 89% of the class secured spots at top 100 global universities, including prestigious names such as University of Chicago, Emory University, Claremont McKenna University, Purdue University, University College London, London School of Economics, University of Toronto, The University of Melbourne, University of British Columbia, Boston University, Trinity College Dublin, University of Amsterdam, The University of Sydney, and UC San Diego. Collectively, the 64 graduates were awarded scholarships amounting to 1.93 million USD, which is a testament to their dedication and perseverance.

Stonehill Lit Fest 2025 featured unique events from 'human library' to 'books and baking'

In an inspiring initiative to foster empathy, dialogue, and deeper understanding, Stonehill International School organised a ‘Human Library’ as part of its annual Literature Festival - Stonehill Lit Fest 2025 that was a week-long celebration of books, literature and storytelling.

Drawing from a movement that started in 2000 at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark - The Human Library Organization, the Human Library in Stonehill invited staff members to become ‘human books’ sharing their personal stories with students in small group settings, aligning with the theme of the Lit Fest  – ‘I am a Story. You are a Story. We are a Story’.

This experience nurtured open-mindedness, communication skills, empathy, and a deeper appreciation for the diverse journeys that shape who we are, among students.

In the Secondary school, students took part in a 'books and baking' session, where they shared and exchanged baked goodies and books.

Stonehill students staged a stellar performance of In the Heights, a Tony Award-winning musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda

The middle and high school students of Stonehill International School, Bangalore, performed In the Heights, a Tony Award-winning musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda at Bangalore International Centre from the 27th of February to the 1st of March. The school’s annual production gives its students a larger platform to display their talent to a large and diverse audience. 

This year’s production blended hip-hop, salsa, merengue, and soul to tell the story of a vibrant Latino community in Washington Heights, New York City. The show is about Usnavi, a bodega owner with dreams of returning to the Dominican Republic, and his neighbors as they navigate love, ambition, and identity. Over the course of three days, the community faces change, challenges, and celebrations, with themes of family, perseverance, and the meaning of home.

The look and feel of the play was enhanced by a realistic-looking set of a high street with candy shops and boutique salons - all designed by the school students and teachers. Costumes, props, lighting, makeup, choreography and music were all conceptualised and executed in-house.

Stonehill Technofest 2025 Unites 200+ Students from 25 Schools Across Six Cities

Stonehill Technofest, a two-day inter-school competition for students to showcase their skills in Hackathon, Makeathon and Formula 1 RC car racing, came to a grand closing with over 200 students from more than 25 schools across 6 cities participating, including Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai.

Apart from nearly 10 Government schools across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, some of the schools that participated in the technofest included Oakridge International School, Trio World Academy, Inventure Academy, The Gaudium School, Chaman Bhartiya School, Jain International Residential School and Vijaybhoomi Singapore International school.

Stonehill Parents Teachers Association (PTA) hosted the International Food Fair (IFF) on February 1, 2025, at the school grounds, where food stalls featured a wide array of cuisines from 36 countries that Stonehill students come from. 

This year the fair had stalls selling food from Switzerland, Turkey, Denmark, Sweden, the USA, the UK, Uzbekistan, Germany, Hongkong, Malaysia, India, Russia, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and many other countries. 

The much-awaited Food Fair began with the customary flag parade showcasing the school’s vibrant international community, diversity and inclusivity. The parade is a symbolic showcase of how Stonehill is a truly international multicultural environment. There was also a DJ performance and decorative lights to add up to the festive feel. 

At the fair, parents from diverse cultures laid out a wide range of delicacies from their countries and also exhibited the essence of their cultures by decorating the stalls in a variety of highly creative ways. All proceeds will be directed towards buying school bags for students of the Stonehill Government School, at Tarahunise Village.

Stonehill hosted an inspiring TedX event, entirely driven by our talented students! The initiative brought together speakers from diverse fields, sharing unique perspectives and stories that resonated deeply with our audience. It was a fantastic experience, showcasing the power of student-led innovation and the value of storytelling in fostering learning and connection. A big congratulations to our students for organizing such a successful event!

Congratulations to Our Soccer 7s Champions!

Our High School Boys' and Girls' Football teams took their skills to the international stage, competing in the British International School, Phuket (BISP) Soccer 7s Tournament in  Thailand, alongside top schools from South and Southeast Asia.

Our U9 Football Team won the BAASC tournament held on the 19th of November at Legacy School, Bangalore.

Aanya, Grade 8, competed across the US, showcasing her dedication and talent with impressive victories - 2 silver medals and a ribbon at the Oregon State Meet, plus top-three finishes and a qualification for an invitational in Washington.

Dubai Stem Awards

Anhad, Grade 11, won the Excellence Award, and Alan, Grade 10, won the Innovation Excellence Award 2024 at the Dubai STEM Summit. So proud of our young achievers!

Stonehill celebrated the Graduating Class of 2024 with an elegant ceremony at the Hilton Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park on May 18th.

Book Week Extravaganza

Book Week featured a variety of learning experiences for our primary students like multilingual Mystery Reading, a Lit Fest Rally, a Book Cafe, a Harry Potter Zone, a Script-Camera-Action Room, Extreme Reading, a Book Character Parade and so much more.

Our girls' and boys' football teams clinched runner-up spots at ISACI, hosted by The British School, New Delhi. Our swim team performed exceedingly well, snagging a total of 73 medals: 26 golds, 35 silvers, and 12 bronzes. Congratulations Team Stonehill!

       Leavers’ Assembly

Stonehill celebrated the achievements of our Grade 12 students at the Leavers’ Assembly. There were wonderful performances and games and the students shared memories of their time at Stonehill through heartfelt speeches. We look forward to their graduation in May.

The Miles For Smiles Tiger Trail fundraising event was a great opportunity to raise funds for 'Reach Lives' an orphanage, making a positive impact on young lives. The enthusiasm and energy made this a wonderful event!

BISP's Soccer 7s Tournament

Our Girls' and Boys' Football teams recently participated in the British International School, Phuket - BISP's Soccer 7s tournament held in Phuket, where our Girls' team reached the quarter-finals, coming in 3rd in Group C. The Boys' team progressed all the way to the final and won the silver medal in the Plate Competition. Congratulations!

Fibonacci Day!

For Fibonacci Day, our secondary students participated in various activities like Rangoli making, poetry reading, quizzes, and several other events based on the concept of the Fibonacci sequence.

Evan Wins First Place!

Evan, grade 8, represented Stonehill at the CIS 8th annual Interschool Golf Tournament and won first place in the B category (13-15 yrs).

Harrison, grade 8, scored 7 goals in 6 matches for his team in the Under 15 Youth Premiere League of the Karnataka State Football Association, helping his team, Alchemy, win 3rd place. Congratulations Harrison!

Grade 5 Transition Ceremony

Stonehill Celebrates Pi Day

Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. It is a day to celebrate the mathematical constant Pi (π).

Stonehill International School MUN, February 2022

The third annual SISMUN conference was conducted between 28th and 29th January 2022. 

This year, over fifty delegates from eight schools participated. They managed to progress towards resolutions that satisfied their goal agendas through many intense debates

Stonehill Hosts Third Virtual Hackathon

Stonehill hosted its third virtual hackathon on the 4th and 5th of March, 2022.  Three hundred registered students engaged in coding and creating applications in this 24-hour long event. The students were judged on their creativity, innovation and feasibility of the products.

    I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the PYP SAIBSA 2025 Job-Alike Sessions at Treamis School on 29th November. The open sign-up encouraged me to participate, and discovering how IB educators come together to learn and grow made the experience truly meaningful. 11 of us attended the event from the Primary team, Stonehill International School.
