The Stonehill PTA Christmas Bazar rang in the festive cheer, featuring an array of Stalls and carol singing performance by students.

Our Young Primary Tigers showcased their mettle across various sports events at the PYP Sports & Athletics Day!

 The PTA Diwali Mela was a lively celebration that brought our community together to enjoy captivating performances, tasty food, and beautiful local crafts.

The annual PTA Back-to-School Barbeque was held to welcome new families into our Stonehill community. Parents, teachers and students got a chance to enjoy plenty of delicious food and music. Thank you, PTA for a fun-filled day!

We celebrated the Indian Independence Day with our vibrant community in traditional attire. Lively performances of Dollu Kunitha, a folk dance from Karnataka, was organised, cupcakes were distributed and sessions of draping saris and dhotis were organised to mark the occasion. A ceremonial flag hoisting was held on campus.
 

Marking a significant step forward in Stonehill's commitment to providing state-of-the-art learning spaces for our students, a New High School Block was inaugurated with a traditional Puja ceremony. Our Founder, Mr. Jitu Virwani, Chairman and MD of Embassy Group, graced the occasion. Members of the Governing Council, Education Leadership team including Mr. Joe Lumsden, Head of School, Ms. Manpreet Kaur, Secondary Principal and Mr. Peter Spratling, Primary Principal and students and teachers were in attendance at the graceful ceremony.

Stonehill organised a well thought-out Orientation day for the new families joining the school for the Academic Year 2025-'26. The Head of School, Mr. Joe Lumsden, addressed new parents and students, welcoming them into the Stonehill family with enthusiasm and positivity, while our PTA President and members outlined on the events they organise and transition support that PTA offers. The Principals of Primary and Secondary School, Mr. Peter Spratling and Ms. Manpreet Kaur, addressed the families as respective cohorts. Families opting for our boarding programme were taken through an exclusive Boarding Orientation.
 

Stonehill celebrated the class of P8 (Grade 5), who are moving from Primary school to Secondary school, in a grand ceremony on June 5, 2025. The event was replete with colourful performances and proud moments for both parents and teachers. The students showcased their mettle and brought out their personalities through engaging performances and presentations.

Stonehill International School, Bangalore, hosted an unforgettable graduation ceremony on 24th May at the Hilton Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park, honouring the remarkable accomplishments of its Class of 2025. The evening was a celebration of resilience, ambition, and community, as students, faculty, and families gathered to mark this pivotal milestone.

This cohort of graduates has much to be proud of. With a 100 % university placement rate, the Class of 2025 has earned admission to some of the world’s leading institutions, receiving offers from universities across 18 countries. Their chosen disciplines span – Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science, biomedical science, Food and nutrition, Anthropology, Design, Economics, Finance, Psychology and more.

Impressively, 89% of the class secured spots at top 100 global universities, including prestigious names such as University of Chicago, Emory University, Claremont McKenna University, Purdue University, University College London, London School of Economics, University of Toronto, The University of Melbourne, University of British Columbia, Boston University, Trinity College Dublin, University of Amsterdam, The University of Sydney, and UC San Diego. Collectively, the 64 graduates were awarded scholarships amounting to 1.93 million USD, which is a testament to their dedication and perseverance.

In an inspiring initiative to foster empathy, dialogue, and deeper understanding, Stonehill International School organised a ‘Human Library’ as part of its annual Literature Festival - Stonehill Lit Fest 2025 that was a week-long celebration of books, literature and storytelling.

Drawing from a movement that started in 2000 at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark - The Human Library Organization, the Human Library in Stonehill invited staff members to become ‘human books’ sharing their personal stories with students in small group settings, aligning with the theme of the Lit Fest  – ‘I am a Story. You are a Story. We are a Story’.

This experience nurtured open-mindedness, communication skills, empathy, and a deeper appreciation for the diverse journeys that shape who we are, among students.

In the Secondary school, students took part in a 'books and baking' session, where they shared and exchanged baked goodies and books.

The middle and high school students of Stonehill International School, Bangalore, performed In the Heights, a Tony Award-winning musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda at Bangalore International Centre from the 27th of February to the 1st of March. The school’s annual production gives its students a larger platform to display their talent to a large and diverse audience. 

This year’s production blended hip-hop, salsa, merengue, and soul to tell the story of a vibrant Latino community in Washington Heights, New York City. The show is about Usnavi, a bodega owner with dreams of returning to the Dominican Republic, and his neighbors as they navigate love, ambition, and identity. Over the course of three days, the community faces change, challenges, and celebrations, with themes of family, perseverance, and the meaning of home.

The look and feel of the play was enhanced by a realistic-looking set of a high street with candy shops and boutique salons - all designed by the school students and teachers. Costumes, props, lighting, makeup, choreography and music were all conceptualised and executed in-house.

Stonehill Technofest, a two-day inter-school competition for students to showcase their skills in Hackathon, Makeathon and Formula 1 RC car racing, came to a grand closing with over 200 students from more than 25 schools across 6 cities participating, including Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai.

Apart from nearly 10 Government schools across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, some of the schools that participated in the technofest included Oakridge International School, Trio World Academy, Inventure Academy, The Gaudium School, Chaman Bhartiya School, Jain International Residential School and Vijaybhoomi Singapore International school.

Stonehill Parents Teachers Association (PTA) hosted the International Food Fair (IFF) on February 1, 2025, at the school grounds, where food stalls featured a wide array of cuisines from 36 countries that Stonehill students come from. 

This year the fair had stalls selling food from Switzerland, Turkey, Denmark, Sweden, the USA, the UK, Uzbekistan, Germany, Hongkong, Malaysia, India, Russia, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and many other countries. 

The much-awaited Food Fair began with the customary flag parade showcasing the school’s vibrant international community, diversity and inclusivity. The parade is a symbolic showcase of how Stonehill is a truly international multicultural environment. There was also a DJ performance and decorative lights to add up to the festive feel. 

At the fair, parents from diverse cultures laid out a wide range of delicacies from their countries and also exhibited the essence of their cultures by decorating the stalls in a variety of highly creative ways. All proceeds will be directed towards buying school bags for students of the Stonehill Government School, at Tarahunise Village.

Stonehill hosted an inspiring TedX event, entirely driven by our talented students! The initiative brought together speakers from diverse fields, sharing unique perspectives and stories that resonated deeply with our audience. It was a fantastic experience, showcasing the power of student-led innovation and the value of storytelling in fostering learning and connection. A big congratulations to our students for organizing such a successful event!

Our High School Boys' and Girls' Football teams took their skills to the international stage, competing in the British International School, Phuket (BISP) Soccer 7s Tournament in  Thailand, alongside top schools from South and Southeast Asia.

Our U9 Football Team won the BAASC tournament held on the 19th of November at Legacy School, Bangalore.

The Stonehill community came together on the 10th of October, 2024 in support of the Pinktober  Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

We were thrilled to welcome Matthew Cocks, Director of Apple Education (Worldwide), Hitesh Shah, Head of Apple Education (India), and the Apple Education leadership team, along with representatives from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), to Stonehill International School.

A huge congratulations to our U11 Boys' basketball team on their 12-4 win over TRIO World Academy in the final BAASC basketball tournament!

The seventh edition of the Stonehill Founder's Day Run, organised by Raadiant Sports, witnessed an unprecedented turnout of over 1300 participants on Sunday, September 15th.

Aashna, Grade 3, won 3rd place in her category at IGU South Zone tournament and 4th place at Pangdam Udayana 2nd Bali Indonesia International Junior Golf Championship. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Aanya, Grade 9, on winning the 4x100 medley with her team and a bronze in the 200 m backstroke at the National Championships held in Orissa.

Year-end awards, music, and fun games closed the academic year with the Secondary school hosting students from Reach Lives. 

At the Grade 5 graduation, we celebrated our learners transitioning from Primary to Secondary School. So proud of our knowledgeable, confident, caring and responsible global citizens! 

For their Collaborative Sciences Projects, our Grade 11 students explored various sciences to create team projects on topics like sports, coal mining, lifestyle choices, and more.

Congratulations to Ryan, Grade 3, for clinching the Indian Golf Union South Zone E Category Championship at Clover Greens! What an achievement!

Aanya, Grade 8, competed across the US, showcasing her dedication and talent with impressive victories - 2 silver medals and a ribbon at the Oregon State Meet, plus top-three finishes and a qualification for an invitational in Washington.

Sethulakshmi, Grade 12, has achieved the prestigious Gold Award from The Duke of Edinburgh International Awards!

Anhad, Grade 11, won the Excellence Award, and Alan, Grade 10, won the Innovation Excellence Award 2024 at the Dubai STEM Summit. So proud of our young achievers!

At the Primary Visual Arts Exhibition, our learners showcased their creativity using various mediums like 2D, 3D, clay, and recycled materials.

Stonehill celebrated the Graduating Class of 2024 with an elegant ceremony at the Hilton Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park on May 18th.

Book Week featured a variety of learning experiences for our primary students like multilingual Mystery Reading, a Lit Fest Rally, a Book Cafe, a Harry Potter Zone, a Script-Camera-Action Room, Extreme Reading, a Book Character Parade and so much more.

Our girls' and boys' football teams clinched runner-up spots at ISACI, hosted by The British School, New Delhi. Our swim team performed exceedingly well, snagging a total of 73 medals: 26 golds, 35 silvers, and 12 bronzes. Congratulations Team Stonehill!

Stonehill celebrated the achievements of our Grade 12 students at the Leavers’ Assembly. There were wonderful performances and games and the students shared memories of their time at Stonehill through heartfelt speeches. We look forward to their graduation in May.

Our graduating Class of 2024 had a tree-planting ceremony on campus on their last day of school. Wishing all our graduates the best of luck in the coming exams!

Congratulations to our Stonehill Team for coming in second place in the X Quest 3.0, organised by Indus School of Leadership with 8 teams from five international schools across India. We are proud of our students for performing extremely well.

It was a thrilling competition as Stonehill hosted the BAASC Under 9s and Under 11s Swimming Tournament where our students showcased remarkable talent, with our Under 9s emerging as the overall winners in their category. Go Tigers!

Celebrating another successful Stonehill Makeathon where 7 teams from various schools across Bangalore went head-to-head for the win.

Grade 12 Visual Arts students presented their eclectic collection of work at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore, on the 7th and 8th of March 2024.

The high school students performed A Midsummer Night's Dream - The Musical, at Bangalore International Centre from the 29th of February to the 2nd of March.

The event brought together approximately a hundred and thirty-three participants from various IB schools, both locally and internationally from countries such as India, Singapore, China, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Bangladesh, and Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone in fostering a global community of educators.

A thrilling day for Team Nehru as they won this year's cup! Congratulations to all the students for their participation and showing great sportsmanship!

Our orientation for the second semester was held in January. Informational sessions took place for the parents and students. We wish the students a happy transition and welcome them to Stonehill!

At the PYP Exhibition, our students showcased their passion, dedication, and collaborative spirit during the presentations. They confidently shared their discoveries with a diverse audience, including parents, teachers, fellow students, and visitors from other schools.

The presentations at the MYP Personal Project Exhibition were interesting, informative and engaging with students talking about their experiences and discoveries throughout their MYP journey.

The Stonehill community came together at the 15th-year anniversary celebrations and enjoyed an evening of festivities that included games, delectable food, and an electric performance by a live band. 

The D1 students impressed both their peers and their parents with a captivating production of the Irish family drama, Moment by Deirdre Kinahan.

The inaugural Stonehill Soccer 7s, proudly hosted by the students of Stonehill, marked a spectacular day of football, teamwork, and camaraderie on Saturday, December 9th.

The Miles For Smiles Tiger Trail fundraising event was a great opportunity to raise funds for 'Reach Lives' an orphanage, making a positive impact on young lives. The enthusiasm and energy made this a wonderful event!

Our Girls' and Boys' Football teams recently participated in the British International School, Phuket - BISP's Soccer 7s tournament held in Phuket, where our Girls' team reached the quarter-finals, coming in 3rd in Group C. The Boys' team progressed all the way to the final and won the silver medal in the Plate Competition. Congratulations!

For Fibonacci Day, our secondary students participated in various activities like Rangoli making, poetry reading, quizzes, and several other events based on the concept of the Fibonacci sequence.

Congratulations to our Visual Arts Teacher, Akshaya Moses for winning two silvers and two bronze medals, qualifying for the nationals at the 24th State Masters Swimming Championship of Karnataka 2023, held at the Vijaynagara Aquatic Centre in Bangalore. 

Grade 12 students recently hosted their student-led conference, where they took the attendees through their DP journey. It was a great learning experience for the students and parents in the audience.

Mosaic 2023, a unique student-led inter-school Humanities Competition brought together aspiring students interested in Business, Economics, History, Geography, and Psychology.

The Secondary Language Acquisition cultural exhibition was an incredible journey of discovery for our entire school community. 

The sixth edition of the Stonehill Founder’s Day Run was held on the 17th of September. The day saw over 1,000 people, participating in different categories. 

On the 8th of September, Stonehill turned 15! Wishing the entire Stonehill community a very Happy Founder's Day!

On the 4th of August, we welcomed new families and students.

We are thrilled to introduce Joe Lumsden as our new Head of School and are excited to start the new academic year under his leadership.

The average IB score for Stonehill students was 33.5 points against a likely global average of 30 points. 19% of the cohort were awarded Bilingual Diplomas in French, Japanese, Korean and Turkish.

On May 20th, Stonehill hosted a glittering graduation ceremony to honour the Graduating Class of 2023.

Stonehill Tigers won the BAASC U-15 Middle School Football Championships held at Canadian International School on the 25th of April

The Primary School BAASC swim meet was held on the 20th of April at Stonehill International School 

Our Grade 9 students won the first prize at IIT’s TechRadiance Innovation Challenge, a national competition held in Hyderabad. 

Our Middle School students from Grades 6-10 showcased their musical talents with amazing performances at the Music Expo.

On the 10th and 11th of March, our students performed The Insect Play to packed audiences at Bangalore International Centre. The play highlighted the flaws of human society through the lens of insect society.

Our Grade 12 Visual Arts students exhibited their eclectic collection of work at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath on the 9th and 10th of March 2023.

The Primary School Sports Day was held on the 10th of February. Students from P1 to P8 took part in various activities like obstacle and balloon races, Javelin throw, and relays.

Embassy International Riding School (EIRS) Team took part in the Auroville Horse Show 2023 and brought home four gold medals!

The MYP Sports Day was held on the 9th of February. It was great to see the reintroduction of the house system at our Middle School Sports Day.

Evan, grade 8, represented Stonehill at the CIS 8th annual Interschool Golf Tournament and won first place in the B category (13-15 yrs).

Harrison, grade 8, scored 7 goals in 6 matches for his team in the Under 15 Youth Premiere League of the Karnataka State Football Association, helping his team, Alchemy, win 3rd place. Congratulations Harrison!

The Stonehill Makeathon encouraged students to employ their creativity, problem-solving, and communication skills.  The two-day event sponsored by Newcastle University, UK, had registrations from thirty-six teams across Bangalore.

Our orientation for the second semester was held for more than thirty new students.

We are proud to announce that Tamanna, Grade 10, took part in the Immerse Education Essay Competition, a 100% Scholarship Award for Cambridge, Oxford, Sydney and London Summer School Essay Competition.

Our Grade 5 learners recently had their culminating exhibition, the PYPX.

The Stonehill community munched their way around the world at the School’s annual International Food Fair (IFF).

Aanya, Grade 7, recently participated in two swim events and excelled at both!

The DP Theatre students put up powerful performances for parents, students, and faculty.

Aditya, Grade 11, took part in the Bangalore District Cycling Championship 2022 and won the silver medal!

Mosaic 2022, a student led Humanities Fair and Competition, held on the 9th and 10th of November had participation from high school students across India. 

Jaiveer, grade 8, participated in the Equestrian Premier League, held at Embassy International Riding School (EIRS), Bangalore.

Congratulations to Julius, Grade 7, for winning The Hyundai National Inter School Golf Trophy, (under 13 category), held at Prestige Golfshire in Bangalore on the 3rd of November 2022.

Ranvir, grade 10, was awarded the Dr Siva Kumari MYP Innovators Grant of 10,000 USD for his service project, The Honey Hill Project. 

The annual PTA Diwali Mela 2022 was a fantastic celebration for the entire Stonehill community.

Our Grade 12 students held their Student Led Conference showcasing their learning journey through the IB Diploma Programme.

Our PTA organised a Pinkober fundraiser in support of the global Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

The Stonehill Science Bowl 2022 was a great success. This year, the event was divided between grades 9-12 and grades 6-8.

On the 16th of November, Dr.Brian Brumsickle, Head of School, along with a few students, parents, and other members of the School visited the Morning Star Ashram.

The fifth edition of the Stonehill Founder’s Day Run was held on the 25th of September in support of Morning Star Ashram, a home for underprivileged children with physical and mental illnesses.

Aanya, Grade 7, competed in the national swim meet conducted by the Indian Schools Sports Organization (ISSO) held in Pune between the 26th and 28th of September. 

We celebrated Founder's Day on the 8th of September. 

It is constructed over two floors with plenty of light and common spaces.

Stonehill celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day with celebrations all around!

Geethika, Grade 10,  placed first in the 105 cm class and show jumping rounds at the Equestrian Premier League (EPL) at Embassy India Riding School (EIRS).

On the 3rd and 4th of August, we welcomed new families into our School through a series of orientation sessions.

Our grade 2 student, Ryan, competed at the Head Start Friendship Games Golf Championship 2022.

Stonehill’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) scores have remained comfortably above the world average now for the tenth consecutive year.  Stonehill students have once again outdone themselves with a 100% pass rate.

The grade 5 Transition Ceremony marked the end of Primary School for our learners as they transitioned to Middle School. 

The MYP (grades 6-10) students planted trees as part of their service initiative.

Our grade 12 (D2) students had their Graduation Ceremony on Campus after Two Years.

Our grade 11 (D1) students had their Theory of Knowledge Exhibition at Stonehill.

The Annual Stonehill PYPX (Exhibition) was held between the 2nd and 6th of May 2022. Congratulations to the students and teachers on an amazing exhibition!

9th May, 2022 was our Stonehill Annual Leavers' Assembly for our grade 12 students. Best of luck Class of 2022!

A tree-planting ceremony took place to give our Graduating Class of 2022 a chance to leave something behind.

On the 30th and 31st of March, our students participated in the annual Cross Country Fun Run.

Dishant, our grade 4 student cleared the Regional Equestrian League held in Pondicherry. 
 

On the 29th of March 2022, our Grade 12 Visual Art students showcased their stunning pieces of art at the Diploma Programme Visual Art Exhibition held on campus.

Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. It is a day to celebrate the mathematical constant Pi (π).

The Primary Literature Festival was held between the 4th and 11th of March. The fun week ended with a dress-up day.

The third annual SISMUN conference was conducted between 28th and 29th January 2022. 

This year, over fifty delegates from eight schools participated. They managed to progress towards resolutions that satisfied their goal agendas through many intense debates

Stonehill hosted its third virtual hackathon on the 4th and 5th of March, 2022.  Three hundred registered students engaged in coding and creating applications in this 24-hour long event. The students were judged on their creativity, innovation and feasibility of the products.

On the 22nd and 23rd of February, MOSAIC, a business and economics fair, brought together young, aspiring entrepreneurs and economists from around the world. Close to a hundred students participated from across the country.

Our Grade 9 students, Hyunseok, Antariksh and Nevann took part in Infinity 2022, an inter-school mathematics competition held on the 8th of January 2022. 

Geethika, a grade 9 student took part in the Junior National Equestrian Championship and won the first place!

There were 25 winners, 25 runners-up and 46 honourable mentions out of 4000+ multimedia submissions from around the world. Two students from Stonehill did us proud!

The Stonehill Science Bowl 2021 was held on 23rd and 24th September. It was a virtual event, with teams from 10 countries. 

Geethika, a grade 9 student will be taking part in an Equestrian Competition at the national level.

Stonehill visited the Morning Star Ashram and donated the proceeds raised from The Stonehill Founder's Day Run 2021.

Chelsea, a grade 10 student won the first place at the Namma Badminton Tournament in Bangalore.

The Stonehill Founder's Day Virtual Run and Ride 2021, was held on 26th September. The event was a huge success with more than 600 participants.

Aditya, a grade 10 student competed in the District Mountain Bike Championship 2021

This year, we welcomed new families with live sessions over four days, from the 4th to the 7th of August. 

Every year, the Secondary School art exhibition is held on campus but this year, our M1- D1 (Grades 6-11) students put up an amazing virtual showcase.

IBDP 2021 results are out! This year, with a 100% pass rate, Stonehill students have outdone themselves.

On May 22nd, Stonehill International School hosted a virtual graduation ceremony for the graduating class of 2021.

The PYP Exhibition is the culminating, collaborative experience in the final year of the IB Primary Years Programme

This year, the Primary School Sports Day went virtual. Students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 took part.

Students at Stonehill International School have done exceptionally well, competing on a global platform.

On the 17th of March 2021, our Grade 12 Art students showcased their stunning pieces of art at the Diploma Programme Visual Art Exhibition held on campus.

Oscar, an 8th grade student, competed in The Karnataka State Junior and Senior Swimming Championships. 

On February 17th 2021, GirlUp Stonehill conducted a wellness session for the entire Stonehill community.

All proceeds raised from The Founder’s Day Virtual Run 2020 were donated to the Morning Star Ashram. 

The Stonehill Founder’s Day Virtual Run was held on  on Sunday, 27th September, where over 400 individuals participated in different categories.
