Learning can be fun and has no age limits. On 7th September, 23 Diploma parents were a part of the Diploma Boot Camp which was put together to help parents understand the technicalities of the programme and their role as an IB parent.

The Diploma programme is a rigorous one and students have to complete the mandatory requirements of the 6 subjects and the core (Extended Essay, TOK and CAS). Through interesting activities, where parents took the lead role, an understanding of the AtL skills and the IB learner profiles unfolded.

Sessions on ‘University Placements’ and ‘How to Manage Stress’ should prove beneficial in supporting parents with guiding their children through the University selection process and helping them to maintain a balance between academics and  extracurricular activities.

Students from D1 and D2 shared their experiences as Diploma students and gave the parents an insight into the learning process at Stonehill. While it was an opportunity to develop an understanding of how parents can partner in their child’s education journey, it also provided time to make new friends.
