Head of School Message
Greetings!
I’d like to wish you all a Happy New Year! Welcome to the first edition of our alumni newsletter for this academic year.
Over the last year, our campus has sprung to life as students have finally started school on campus again.
Our campus continues to improve and expand with the latest addition of our new library which was inaugurated in September 2022. The new library is situated adjacent to the STEM building. It’s over two floors with plenty of light and common spaces.
With our growing enrollment, more classroom spaces are needed hence the old libraries are being converted into Student Support Services and EAL offices, classroom spaces, and a Secondary Art studio.
Our Boarding Programme continues to thrive as our enrollment continues to grow as well. We have the largest number of boarders we’ve ever had in Boarding, with well over 100 students currently.
As a premium international school in Bangalore and across India, Stonehill is committed to developing knowledgeable, compassionate, self-assured, and responsible citizens of the world. We work hard to build an international-minded community of dynamic learners. You have all reached various parts of the world, and as global citizens, we are very proud of all of your successes.
Being a part of the Stonehill community, we are all uniquely connected by the things we have in common.
As always, I would appreciate hearing from you either by email or a visit when you are back in Bangalore.
Best wishes,
Dr. Brian Brumsickle
Head of School
Save the date!
We would love to see you all on campus for Graduation Day on the 20th of May 2023!

Alumni Speak
It's always wonderful when we hear back from our Alumni. We are happy that they are thriving global citizens and it's reassuring to know that Stonehill has provided them with the groundwork for success.
Elin Gerdes, Class of 2014
Elin Gerdes attended Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany, majoring in Geography.
"I fondly remember our class trip to Agumbe with Gerry Martin. The yearly trips in general were amazing, and such a great opportunity to learn new things and explore new places with my classmates."
Akshara Mohan (2015-2018)
Akshara Mohan was at Stonehill for three years from 2015-2018. She is currently at University of Michigan, US, majoring in Computer Science.
"I will always remember the Trips Week experiences and exploring different places with my grade. I also remember the fun memories I made with my classmates, as we were all close because of the small student body."
Srija Rajaram, Class of 2017
Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations
"My journey with Psychology began at Stonehill in D1.The IB requirements of research and application based study at Stonehill immensely helped me through my university at CMR and a Masters Programme in Clinical Psychology at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.
My interaction with the international fraternity helped me develop a global perspective and a sense of international mindedness. Some of the most memorable events for me at Stonehill were the Diwali Mela, the International Food Fair, the Back- to- School Barbeque, CAS service projects, class trips to Munnar and Germany and the graduation ceremony to name a few.
I am currently working as a resident psychologist and counsellor at Good Shepherd International School (residential), Ooty. It was a pleasure for me to be on the other side of IB and complete my first IB teacher workshop two months ago. It was a complete circle for me- an IB student to an IB teacher. Stonehill will always have a special place in my heart."
Matilde Foroni, Class of 2016
"After having completed my academic path in Finance, I am due to start an internship at Boston Consulting Group in Milan. I am also planning to intern with the Embassy Group CSR team at some point in the future.
I have many good memories of Stonehill. The supportive teachers valued student-teacher relationships which allowed me to build strong relationships with my university professors.
Another beautiful memory is related to the extensive sports programme at Stonehill. It brought students from different year groups and schools together. It was always an exciting experience due to the team spirit that surrounded it. Stonehill has passed on the importance of sports and sportsmanship as both an act of self-care and team building.
Stonehill encouraged us to engage in meaningful community service at the Stonehill Government School, after school hours. This is another value that I have held close to my heart. It is because of this that I am now a volunteer at the Italian Red Cross. I thank Stonehill for the important role it has played in my development."
