How do we define Global Citizenship at Stonehill?
The Stonehill International School vision statement describes our faculty, staff, students and parents as "an internationally-minded community of spirited learners, dedicated to the development of knowledgeable, caring, confident and responsible global citizens."
Our contextually appropriate definition of 'Global Citizens' is found in our list of values and beliefs.
We define 'Global Citizens' as people who:

How do we define Intercultural learning at Stonehill?
Intercultural learning refers to the acquisition and application of knowledge, skills, and conceptual understanding that support the ability of learners to understand and value their culture and interact with and learn from cultures different from their own.
High Quality Learning
High-Quality Learning happens when learners acquire new behaviours, understandings, skills, attitudes and values. High-Quality Learning occurs through both a personal and social process, in which learners continuously reflect upon their existing understandings while maintaining an open mind allowing ideas of others to extend their own thinking. Learning becomes relevant and engaging as individuals make connections between previous experiences and newly acquired knowledge, and apply this learning in real world contexts.
