Kao kamizono, Class of 2020

I am currently working in the Tokyo office of a British multinational consulting firm, where I provide advisory services on business governance and geopolitical risk management to multinational clients. Spending most of my formative years in Bangalore has significantly influenced my choice of career and studies. I not only fostered my appreciation for diversity and the international environment there but also made friends and teachers who were genuinely supportive of my passion for history and geopolitics - which has a lot to do with my current job.

After graduating from Stonehill, my academic pursuits took me to Tokyo and London, where I developed a deeper understanding of politics and international relations - which was my university major. I have always been a history nerd so I took every opportunity to explore historical cities across Europe during my time in London. People often say friendships at international schools are transient, but I strongly believe Stonehill proves otherwise.

Anshul Natekar, Class of 2023

I'm currently studying Environment and Business at the University of Waterloo in Canada. It actually took me a bit of time to choose environmental science. The Career Counsellor at Stonehill really helped me through the process. The preparation for college was not as intense a process as a lot of people think. I think what you have to do is just make sure that you know what you want. And if you don't, communicate that openly with your counsellors and people who are helping you so that they can help you come to that decision. Keeping in touch with your counsellor and all the people who are helping you and making sure you know what resources are available to you and what your timeline is, is crucial. Just have a one-track mind and know your goal and then build your objectives to get to that goal.

Arzoo Satar Sait, Class of 2022

I’m studying Marketing at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I’m part of LMU’s M-School program that focuses on brand strategy, storytelling, and building real campaigns. Since moving to LA, I’ve interned at different companies like Ajio, Julius Baer, Green Pepper AI, Provence Beauty and I’m currently working at a global edtech company using AI to support student learning. I also recently joined a creative agency that works at the intersection of tech, design, and culture.

Looking back, I’m so grateful to my school for giving me the space to lead differently. In 11th grade, I started Girl Up, United Nations Foundation Stonehill — a UN Foundation-affiliated gender justice initiative. I gathered a small group of peers, pitched the idea to my school, and with their incredible support, launched one of the first official student-led clubs at Stonehill. We built something that still exists at Stonehill International School today. Huge shoutout to Jennifer Browne & Joe Lumsden for mentoring and supporting every single idea we had!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you don’t have to choose between being strategic and being creative. The best work — and honestly, the best life — happens when you bring your whole self to the table. That’s something I started learning at Stonehill, and I carry it with me every day.

I am also thankful to the Stonehill community that has stayed incredibly close to me. I came back to campus in 2023 for graduation, and again in 2024 to speak with juniors about LinkedIn and personal branding. Some of my closest friendships to this day started at Stonehill — I’ve visited friends in London, Washington DC, and Dubai, and they’ve even come out to visit me in Los Angeles. It’s one of those rare communities that stays with you, no matter how far you go.
